Philly love

this my friends is an entire wall of sour cream
Well folks we are back from a lovely little trip to Philadelphia. It's kind of surreal to remember that last year we visited Montreal for spring break and found out mere days later that we were expecting and this time we were traveling with our little munchkin. And speaking of traveling with a babe she was such a champ! She loved napping in her stroller while we explored the city on foot, didn't have any complaints about the hotel crib and was able to decently entertain herself on the drive by eating her hands (she recently discovered these fascinating little appendages). I'd say V would give Philly an A+ if she could!
And we loved this city too! The architecture was beautiful beyond belief, the art gallery quickly became one of my favorites and the food... oh the food. We stuffed ourselves silly with bagels, donuts, soups and ice cream. It was wonderful! And of course our trip wouldn't have been complete without a trip to the gigantic Russian grocery store just outside of town. You guys, I was in heaven. I made papa bear take three laps with me around the store just to make sure I didn't miss anything. It felt so good to be there, around my peoples, surrounded by all my favorite foods. I also have to admit that I spent an obscene amount of money buying groceries for what looked like years. To be fair who knows when I'll be back!
For those of you interested in a little trip of your own here's a list of all the places we went:

*We also stopped by Terrain on our drive but that deserves its own post so keep an eye out!

P.S. Thanks to all of you who offered such great suggestions on Twitter!! xo

  4. We recently did an overnight in philly & it was our baby's first stay in a hotel (philly is practically in our backyard, a mere 45 minute drive, but it's fun to be a tourist in your own city sometimes).
Looks like you guys had a great little getaway!
