It's that time of year again! Here's the thing though - it doesn't have to be stressful. I'm really happy that over the years we have been able to really curtail the gift giving for Christmas. Interestingly enough last Christmas was perhaps the most humble one of all when it comes to the amount and size of gifts our kids got but they were also the happiest and most grateful. 

I usually save the small knick-knacks for their stockings and when it comes to the actual gifts we try to stick to the something to wear, something to read, something you need and something you want principle. This way the gifts are well-rounded, quality and will keep your kids entertained and happy for months to come!
