Disney (more specifically Epcot)

^ I only noticed this after I edited it. I suppose it's all fitting since it was his birthday and all. ^
For as long as I can remember papa bear and I hoped to have a "funny kid." By funny I mean a little mischievous, with a healthy sense of humor and a kid who doesn't take life too seriously. Because at our house we like to laugh a lot, we horse around, we're big fans of dance parties and we certainly don't take life very seriously (how could that possibly be fun??). As most parents know for about a month or two after your baby arrives it's sort of a doll that cries a lot, eats a lot and occasionally sleeps a lot (really I do miss those newborn days so, she slept non-stop!!). Then around three months they get a bit of a personality, start to smile and generally react to their environment beyond themselves. But five months, five months is the golden time - you really start to get to KNOW this person you're sharing your home and heart with and it is all kinds of amazing. So it was around this time that we found out that our little angel and the apple of our eye is a complete dork and silly-maker. The faces, the sounds, the clasping of hands and gleeful screams, and THAT TONGUE ohmygoodness!!! This kid laughs for days, yay and clapping are her favorite and she quite literally NEVER stops smiling! Of course we just eat it all up and the level of happy went up by a couple hundred notches at our house. Birdie is an absolute ball of joy (pun intended because she has the roundest face ever, courtesy of her Eastern European mama) and I feel like all my wishes came true with her!
"You never know where your dreams might take you
So keep them safe and sound don't let reality break you
Feel your sweetest memories come and carry you away
Just get lost in yesterday
Every wish, every dream you ever had
Just close your eyes
And it will all come rushing back
Fly away
All you need is to believe and remember when
Surrender to the innocence
You thought you left behind
And reach the child that lives inside
Every wish, every dream you ever had
Just close your eyes
And it will all come rushing back
Fly away
All you need is to believe and remember when"

I just can't get over how stinking cute she is! She looks like a cabbage patch doll (and I mean that in the most sincerest, complimentary way). I just love her!
ReplyDeleteAww! Thanks so much darling! It's so funny that you said that! You're totally on point! My husband and I immediately googled a photo and IT IS HER!! LOL! She's such a dork this one :) xo
DeleteBirdie is such a little doll!! My husband and I are taking our baby boy to Epcot in October (he'll be almost 10 months by then), so I would LOVE to know more about your Epcot + baby experience...what attractions/rides did you guys do and any recommendations for theme-parking with a baby. Your pictures make me so excited for Florida!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Alyssa! How fun! October is a perfect time to go since it won't be so hot. We actually didn't go on any rides (didn't feel comfortable leaving our stroller just sitting out on the street, I know it's Disney but still...). Basically we go for the "international showcase," we just love strolling through all the "countries" and enjoying the food, music, etc. One thing that made a HUGE difference for us is the fact that our resort was about a seven minute drive from Disney meaning we could go in the morning, go back to our room in the afternoon to shower and nap and return for the evening. Makes the experience much less wearing. We also didn't push ourselves to see EVERYTHING and just enjoyed what we could! Hope this helps! Let me know if there's any other way I can help! xo
DeleteCan we please talk about your hair?? Did you do that to yourself? If so, how?? My babe is a few week older than V and I am desperate for new ways to keep my hair out of her fingers. There are only so many times a girl can put her hair in a bun.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would love it if you would do a post about your photographs sometime. What camera you use / your general settings / etc. I got a nice camera a few months ago but I'm stuck. I would love to know how you make your pictures so bright white without washing out the subjects faces.
You're so sweet! Yep I did it myself :). I'll try and remember to post a tutorial for you as it's a couple of steps that would take to long to write out :). And I'll put something together about my photos as well! Thanks for all the questions and the kind words! xo
DeleteLet's talk!
